Primary School Children From Pitlochry School Were Given A Fascinating Insight Into Life In Earthquake Hit Nepal, Thanks To Locally Based Charity Bring Back The Smile To Nepal.
Anna Gurung, founder of the charity, was invited to the school to talk about her work in Nepal and to give the children an insight into life in the country after the earthquake. The charity is currently rebuilding the entire village of Archanbas, in the Gorkha province of Nepal, and Anna was able to show the pupils videos and photographs of the work.
“It was great to be able to show the children the work we are undertaking,” said Anna, “they really enjoyed seeing what life was actually like for the villagers in Nepal and were keen to learn all about our work.”
The children had been working hard, through the school’s Fair Trade Fund, and made a generous donation of £250 towards the charity’s ongoing project.
Bring Back The Smile To Nepal is available to talk to your school, group or organisation. Please contact the charity if you would like more information. Further details of the charity’s work can be found by visiting www.bringbackthesmiletonepal.org or the charity’s facebook and twitter pages.
